Dec 29-2004 - Race of Champions race report and results.
The Spot Valley Race of Champions and Family Fun day was held at the beautiful Spot Valley Raceway under overcast skies on Monday, December 27th, 2004, and those that braved the drizzle to make it to the track were treated to an entertaining day of racing and children activities.

NDRC Drag Challenge #6 - "The Championship Run" Preview

National Drag Racing Circuit (NDRC) is pleased to announce Drag Challenge #6 "The Championship Run" on Sunday 19 December 2004 at Vernamfield Airstrip, Clarendon. This drag racing event is the final leg in the series of six (6) events for 2004 and promises to be prodigious, topping out the series with exciting drag racing action and the crowning of the 2004 NDRC National Champions.
Dec 13, 2004 - Very Young Rookies get ready for 2005 Karting Season
On Saturday December 11, three very young rookies got their feet wet on the Palesadoes International Raceway for the first time, preparing for the new Junior Sportsman class to be started by the Jamaica Karting Association, JKA, in January 2005. For the New Year, the JKA plans to have drivers as young as 8 years old racing karts with highly restricted Yamaha 100cc engines. The introduction of this new class forms part of the mission of the JKA to have world class race drivers right here in Jamaica, standing alongside our athletic champions in track and field, football, cricket among other sports on the world stage.

The 2004 renewal of the Petcom JMMC Rally Jamaica All stages Rally came to a glamorous end on the streets of New Kingston in the nation’s capital on Sunday afternoon as the sweet music of exhaust notes of potent race machines echoed off the high rise buildings in the normally traffic congested business district.
Nov 22, 2004 - Timothy Stewart wins Abe Zaidie Memorial Trophy
On Sunday, November 21 2004 Timothy Stewart edged out Joel Jackson by 1 point to take home the Abe Zaidie Memorial trophy. Both drivers won all their races in their respective classes before the last race of the day the 20 lap endurance where all classes were combined, Timothy and Joel came wheel to wheel for the first time. It was a nail biting finish to what turned out to be a record setting day.
November 15, 2004 - JMMC Dexterity # 4 report
The 2004 JMMC dexterity season came to a close on Sunday, November 14 when Dexterity #4 was successfully staged by organizer, club secretary and 2004 Rookie champion Marcia “Nubian Princess” Dawes at Vernamfield in Clarendon.

November 11, 2004 - Big Finale to Karting Season
On Sunday, November 21 2004 the Jamaica Karting association will stage the second annual Abe Zaidie Memorial Kart meet at the Palisadoes International raceway. This race meet will be the final race meet for the 2004 season and the champion drivers will be crowned here.
November 9, 2004 - Leroy’s Auto Glass Morelands Sprint #8 report
An exciting Leroy’s Auto Glass Moreland Sprint # 8 ran problem free on Sunday November 7, 2004, at Moreland Raceway in St. James, and was thoroughly enjoyed by a full house of spectators. A very well prepared track was well received by the competitors, as were overcast conditions for the spectators, as both sets left the track yesterday fully satisfied with the event that was brought to them by the Montego Bay Motoring Club.
November 3, 2004 - Leroys Auto Glass Sprint #8 Preview
Racing returns to this popular Montego Bay track as the final points paying autocross event rolls around for it’s 2004 renewal. The Leroy’s Auto Glass Sprint #8 will be held at Moreland Raceway, Sign Irwin, St. James come Sunday, November 7th, 2004 starting at 10 a.m. Eager competitors and spectators are anxiously awaiting the return to what has been described as a high horsepower, ball out track for the brave, which has never failed to thrill patrons at the event.

November 3, 2004 - JKA - Stewart & Jackson wins their classess
Karting returned to the Caribbean’s top race track last Sunday October 31 after a 2 month break, the race meet, the eight for the 2004 season saw a record breaking qualifying run of 41.01sec from Joel Jackson who went on to win all four races in the light class. In the Junoir sportsman class, Dominic Moore won three races and his brother Shuan won the other, The Heavy class saw Dwight Moore winning 2 races and the Peter Rae and Nephew Sabastian winning one each.


October 25, 2004 - Gore/Nelson win 2004 Raynor King Rally
The 2004 renewal of the Montego Bay Motoring Club’s Raynor King Memorial Stages Rally put on in association with the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club was run in the cane fields of Frome, Westmoreland this past Sunday, October 24, and was an exceptionally exciting affair from start to finish.
October 22, 2004 - 2004 Raynor King memorial Stages Rally Preview
T
he 2004 renewal of the Raynor King Memorial Stages Rally takes place this Sunday, October 24 in the cane fields of Frome, Westmoreland, starting at 9 a.m.This year’s rally sees a slight change in the very popular long stage, with flood damage from the effects of Hurricane Ivan causing the bridge at the big jump to be abandoned, but the stage retaining the original length through use of an adjoining airstrip. The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club’s Driver’s Championship takes the spot light, as the top five contenders prepare to unleash new and potent equipment and tactics to secure maximum points.
October 21, 2004 - Karting action continue next Sunday October 31
Karting returns to the Caribbean's top race track next Sunday October 31 after a 2 month break, a direct result of hurricane Ivan. The September race meet was cancelled after the Hurricane affected the Palisadoes International Race way. The track is now ready and some of the safety features of the track have been upgraded.
October 12, 2004 - Summerbell wins JMMC Sprint Championship
Driving his Motor Sales & Service sponsored Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6.5 in the JMMC’s Sprint #7 event on October 10th at Badda Badda Raceway located in Priory St Ann, David Summerbell Jnr won the highly coveted 2004 JMMC National Sprint Driver Championship.
October 12, 2004 - Total Heroes of Speed 2 Race meet.
The Jamaica Race Driver’s Club (JRDC) presents the Total Heroes of Speed 2 Race meet at Dover Raceway, St. Ann on Monday, October 18th, 2004, starting at 10a.m. The JRDC welcomes on board their new sponsor Total Petroleum as the petroleum marketing company launches operations in Jamaica, having acquired the 22 gas station formerly operated by National Fuels, with a view to have them branded as Total by June 2005. Friday, October 15, will see the opening of their first station at the National Heroes Circle, with Minister Phillip Paulwell doing the honors.

The 7th Sprint in the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club’s (JMMC) 8-sprint calendar was staged under the broiling sun at the scenic seaside Badda Badda Raceway in Priory, St. Ann on Sunday, October 10, 2004.


October 4, 2004 - JMMC Sprint #7 Preview
The passage of the deadly hurricane "Ivan the Terrible" has caused disruption not only in the daily life and work of the Jamaican people but in their sporting endeavors as well. The motor racing fraternity has suffered a displacement in that their Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club's (JMMC) Sprint #7, originally scheduled for Alligator Pond in St. Elizabeth 2 weeks ago, has blown away from the Southern parish and landed smack in the heart of Priory, St. Ann on the main North Coast highway, at the new Bada-Bada Raceway beside the Chukka Cove Equestrian Center, site of the last event on the racing calendar, an enjoyable dexterity #3, held 4 weeks ago.

September 6, 2004 - JMMC/MBMC Dexterity #3 Report
Dexterity #3 on the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club’s calendar was staged on Sunday, September 4, 2004 at Priory in St. Ann, at the new Bada-Bada Raceway, the up and coming site being prepared to stage a dirt sprint in 2005.

August 31, 2004- Timothy Stewart Finishes second in Miami Kart race
Timothy Stewart, leading junior sportsman driver, finished second in the Rotax Junior class at a race meet held at the Homestead Kart track in Miami on Sunday August 29. Stewart placed second after qualifying third earlier in the day. The race was one of the Florida's Rotax Championship races, the winners will go on to the national finals and the winner of the national finals will go on to the world finals.

“Total domination from start to finish” is an apt way to describe the performance of Team Mobay Racing’s Douglas “Hollywood” Gore/Mark “Submarine” Nelson at the JMMC Lydford Rally held on Sunday, August 22 in the abandoned bauxite mines of Lydford in the garden parish of St. Ann.

The Jamaica Karting Association held race meet #7 at the Palisadoes track in Kingston on Sunday. Here are the provisional results.
August 10, 2004 - Joel Jackson gets pole and finishes 4th at Moroso
Joel Jackson driving a Rotax Max kart in the international class performed well against some of Florida’s best drivers in one of the Florida’s Rotax Max international Challenge races held at the New Moroso karting track on Sunday August 8th.
August 9, 2004 - JMMC Tarmac Sprint #6 Results
The Spot Valley Raceway Sprint #6 was staged on Sunday, August 8, 2004 at the immaculately prepared grounds of the Spot Valley Sports, Entertainment and Training complex in Rose Hall, St. James by the Montego Bay Motoring Club (MBMC) and the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club (JMMC) and was enjoyed by both a bumper crop of competitors and spectators alike.
August 5, 2004 - Battle Royal at Spot Valley this Sunday, August 8.
The continuing battle for the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club’s Champion driver of 2004 will take center stage at Spot Valley Raceway in Rose Hall, St. James this Sunday, August 8 when Jamaica’s finest drivers take to the track for the second of four dirt sprint races of the season.
July 25, 2004 - Emancipate your Speed Dover Race meet
Can Honda normally aspirated power prevail against the turbocharged fury of the Mitsubishis? This and more on show at Dover Raceway on Monday, August 2 as the Jamaica race Drivers club stages the second circuit meet of the 2004 season. Be a witness to the high horsepower battles as side by side racing continues at Dover.
July 19, 2004 - JMMC Sprint 5 Results
The fifth sprint in the Jamaica Millennium motoring Club’s eight sprint series dubbed “Return to Lawson’s Creek” proved to be a hot and dusty affair on Sunday, July 18, 2004 as the track crumbled under the punishment of high horsepower machines in the hands of Jamaica’s finest drivers.

July 18 , 2004 - JDRA “FASTER MORE FURIOUS"
The JDRA (Jamaica Drag Racing Association) joins forces with JamWest Enterprises and Risky Business “Party Capital of Negril” for a “Faster More Furious”, Emancipation Day Long Week-End from July 31, 2004 through August 1, 2004.

July 6 , 2004 - Sprint #5 Preview: Return to Lawson's Creek
The first dirt event of the 2004 race season for the JMMC takes place on Sunday, July 18th at the Lawson's Creek Race Track in Milk River, Clarendon, starting at 10a.m. The event is sponsored by Kirdex Transportation Services, Mivida water, May Pen Ice, Golding's Printing Service and Juici Beef and is organized by the Suzuki Owner's Club, chief organizer being Mr. Larry Henriques.

July 4, 2004 - Gore / Nelson win JMMC/SBMC Tarmac Rally
The St. Bess Motoring Club held it's tarmac Rally on Sunday in and Around Malvern in St. Elizabeth. From the get go, Doug Gore and Mark Nelson driving their Mitsubishi Evolution 8 were leading the rally, followed closely by Rory King and Winston Dawson driving their Evo 6.

June 28 , 2004 - Jetcon sponsors International Karting race meet
Jetcon Corporation Ltd will this summer sponsor the first International Go-Kart race meet in Jamaica in recent years. The JETCON KARTING JAMAICA (INTERNATIONAL) RACE MEET will see drivers from Trinidad and Tobago the USA and Jamaica go head to head in 4 exciting classes. Junior Sportsman, Light , Heavy and 125 cc Shifter. The event will take place over 2 days July 10 and 11, at the Palisados international speedway.

June 27 , 2004 - Rerrie & Baugh win rally in Canada
The well known Jamaican rally team of Richie Rerrie and David Baugh took their talents to the Black Bear Rally in Ontario, Canada over the weekend. They competed in their 2002 Subaru Impreza and finished victorious!

April 6 , 2004 - Kirdex Transportation Services Sprint #3 Event Report
The J.M.M.C. (Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club) in association with the Suzuki Owners Association hosted the most exciting Sprint to date at Vernamfield, Clarendon this past Sunday, April 4, 2004. At the Kir-dex Transportation sponsored event, Jamaica’s best drivers entertained the crowd with daring shows of skill and determination.  However, the day belonged to the overall and Ja8 class winner Jeffery Panton in his Air Jamaica sponsored Toyota Celica.

The Jamaica Race Drivers Club will host the first circuit race of the 2004 season this Easter Monday, April 12, starting at 10 a.m., when the Easter Blast Off takes center stage at Dover raceway in St. Ann.

March 29, 2004 - Bryan Fong-Yee to race in Florida
Three time Jamaica Karting National Champion Bryan Fong-Yee is to start racing 125cc shifter karts as part of the Kart Port / Swiss Hutless team in Florida in the SKUSA series. Kart Port, the Florida distributor for Swiss Hutless karts will be his main Sponsor.

The Montego Bay Motoring Club staged yet another successful dexterity at the Harbour St. parking lot in downtown Montego Bay on Sunday, March 21st. The event got off to a late start with a total of 15 entries. The regular 1 lap run was done on a dry course and the championship 2 lap run was done on a wet course.

The NDRC (Ja) Ltd is pleased to announce that their next race meet, the 1st Annual Drag Challenge #2, will be held this Sunday March 28, at Vernamfield in Clarendon. The event, dubbed "Battle at the Lights", is the second of six race meets slated for the NDRC's Championship Series in 2004.

March 13, 2004 - Mexico on Day 2, more disappointment
Day 2 of the Corona Rally Mexico saw more trouble late in the day for the remaining Jamaican in the field. Rory King suffered mechanical problems on SS8 today and was forced to retire. Reports earlier had the team of King and Winston Dawson suffering boost problems. It is not known if this is what finally put them out of the rally.
March 12, 2004 - Mixed results for Jamaicans in Mexico on Day
The Jamaican team of Doug Gore/Mark Nelson and Rory King/Winston Dawson, had mixed results on th efirst day of the Corona Rally Mexico, Round 2 of the World Rally Chapionship.
March 8, 2004 - JMMC Sprint 2 Results
The Kirdex Transportation Services JMMC Tarmac Sprint #2 was held at Vernamfiled on Sunday. Winning the overall event was Gary Gregg driving an Evolution 6, while Peter Moodie Junior won the Championship round in his Evo 6. See the event report here.

The Jamaica Mthat Dexterity #2 scheduled for Sunday March 21, 2004 at the Old Palisadoes Landing strip has been postponed. The new date and venue for this event will be announced at the Club Night meeting to be held on April 7, 2004. Awards for Dexterity #1 that was held on January 25, 2004 will also be handed out on April 7, 2004. The organizer of the event express his apologies for any inconvenience caused and looks forward to your continued support.

February 12, 2004 - New Sponsors Teams up with JKA
The next race meet scheduled for February 15 will see a full compliment of Junior sportsman the now largest and most competitive class. This class has some new faces for 2004, Brian Rhoden, Benjamin Hodara, Simon Desnoes and Justine Jackson twin sister of Sean Jackson in the same class.

An exciting Bearings & Seals/Windshield Center Tarmac sprint was held on Sunday February 8, 2004 at Morgan’s Property, Ironshore, St. James as the Montego Bay Motoring Club (MBMC) along with the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club staged the first of eight (8) sprint races of the 2004 race season

Bearings & Seals/Windshield Center Tarmac Sprint Race Preview

The Montego Bay Motoring Club in association with the Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club will be staging the Bearings and Seals/Windshield Center Tarmac Sprint race at the famous Ironshore circuit on Morgan’s property on Sunday, February 8th starting at 10 a.m. in the attractive resort city of Montego Bay.

Janaury 19, 2003 - M.B.M.C. Dexterity #1 Report
The 2004 motor sport season for the Montego Bay Motoring Club (M.B.M.C) was launched this past Sunday, January 18th at the Harbour St. parking lot in this western city with a bang, as the club staged a very successful wet tarmac dexterity.
