DRIVER BIOGRAPHY
Peter Moodie Jnr. (PJ) was born March
2nd,1977. He has followed in his father's footsteps and under Peter
Moodie Snr's guidance and teachings he is now Director of his Father's
Company and Managing Director of MoTeC Caribbean.
Started racing in 1994. Did various
sprints and dexterities with a Front Wheel Drive Mazda 323. Upgraded
to a 1300cc Opel Corsa the following year. Many podium finishes
but the top spot always eluded him.
He graduated from Skip Barber Racing
School in December 1996. He took a two year leave from local racing
to aid his father in competing in the South American Trans Am Series.
There he learnt of the intricacies of car setup, preparation and
strategy. During that time he competed in a Bridgestone Racing Series
in Canada and placed an impressive sixth overall in championship
despite numerous car troubles.
His return to Local Racing saw him
campaign his father's all conquering Mandeville built Mazda RX-7
(tube frame). He won two championships with this car before returning
it to the US. He then campaigned the Mitsubishi Evolution VI. In
first year of competing he won the IP3 Circuit Championship and
MP3 the following year.
He now campaigns that car in all Rally
Events.
